In this session we will break the interview process in three stages: “before”, “during” and “after”. We will share practical tips on how to increase your chances depending on where you stand in the interview process:

We are going to take the sales steps into parts to make it a process. This will allow us to have a structured approach and make sales faster. Besides, we are going to look into certain negotiation methods, some techniques and tips & tricks to get the best deal for yourself (and also for your opponent). Finally, we are going to cover the topic of salary negotiation to make you ready to discuss your next package for your new role or promotion.


Workshop: How to apply for an internship in Germany

Every country has its own tradition. This also goes how you apply for a position. But sometimes the traditional way is getting replaced by the fast-paced business and its new standards. This session will be more specific about how to apply in Germany. We will share an example of a CV and look at what matters and should be on your CV. Also, we will discuss if it is necessary to have a motivational letter besides your CV when you are applying. And if so, we will look into the formatting and how we can avoid mistakes to give the best possible impression about ourselves when applying.


Workshop: German job market

This session will be more specific about the job market in Germany. Besides, we are going to look into some numbers, facts and statistics to get a perspective on the current situation and potential outlook. Furthermore, we are going to look into certain industries and the big players. We will also discuss the strategy if it makes sense to start the career in a smaller supplier or outsourced company before starting directly at a big company.


Workshop: How to find an Internship / Job that’s suits me

In this workshop, we will look at which exercises we can undertake to find the right internship or the right job. We will cover the topic of social and professional networking. Besides, we are going to talk about LinkedIn and other platforms to engage with others and increase our chance to get hired.

Universities and other organizations (i.e. City hall) are spending a lot of time, effort and money to organize career & job fairs. Employers are keen to participate in those events to find the best candidates to fill their pipeline of potential candidates and fill their openings. In this workshop we will share best practices and what exactly participants (aka. you as a student) can do to increase your chances to find your dream job.

With a special look into international IT companies. Besides, we will look into strategies what non-European citizens can do to overcome the challenge with the work permit.
